I had the opportunity to speak at Dan Stojadinovic’s “Internet Marketing and Joint Ventures Bootcamp” in San Diego today.

I like the way Dan runs his seminars.  Very laid back, informal, & participatory.

It makes for a phenomenal learning experience for attendees.

I believe I was able to add a lot of value to the lives & businesses of the awesome 80-person crowd of primarily full-time real estate investors.

My approach was simply to tell the story of the last year of my business… exactly how we’ve been able to form the relationships & create the revenue that we’ve done, then to take live questions.

Here are some key points from my 1-hour talk…

“Your biggest asset is your prospect list. And the real long-term money is in your relationship with this list.”

If you have a website right now that’s not collecting leads (i.e. visitors who are more than mildly interested in what you have to offer), you’re missing out on some tremendous income potential.

If you’re collecting a list of leads, but you’re not following up & monetizing that list properly (through relationship building & value exchange), you’re missing out on some tremendous income potential.

“Everything you do has a strategic byproduct.”

Between (A) & (B) is (C) and (C) might be better than (B).

Here’s what I mean…

Along the path between where you ARE currently (e.g. wanting financial freedom) and where you think you need to be to make that happen (e.g. being a full-time real estate investor) are numerous money-making byproducts (e.g. monetizing your buyers list, mentoring others, internet marketing & joint ventures galore).

Take a broader look at your business & become aware of these opportunities.

“The size of your net worth is determined by the size of your network.”

It’s not WHAT you know… it’s WHO you know & how well you know them.

I’ve made exponentially more money as a result of the people I know rather than the things I know.

Get out there, go to seminars, & make connections with those you aspire to be like.

“A successful joint venture MUST have value exchange.”

Most people aren’t getting what they want because they’re too concerned with getting what they want.

Make sense?

Instead of thinking about how you can make more money, think about how you can create value & add more life to more people.

When you do that, the financial & other rewards will come.

“You must be able to stand as an island.”

A business that is too heavily dependent on joint ventures and 3rd-party promotion is destined to fail.

Position your business so that if something happens & no one ever wants to promote you again, your cash flow will remain strong.

This can only be done by MASTERING your marketing game under any & all conditions. In today’s day & age, become a passionate student of internet marketing.

Next time, be there for my whole discussion.

    Andy,

You were wonderful today. You looked so comfortable I would never have believed you were the shy type. It’s marvelous of how far you’ve come in such a short period of time and thanks for sharing that experience with us. You are an inspiration and when I get to that point, I’ll always remember how comfortable you looked up there speaking today. You shared some wonderful insights into our online business presence and encouraged me to keep moving forward. Thanks again for your time and introducing me to Mark and Sam too! I hope I’ll be able to return the favor some day.

Hey Andy, I’ve been reading your blogs and really enjoy them.

“The size of your net worth is determined by the size of your network.”

I really like this quote. One of the major lessons I’ve learned is that if I want to produce good results I need to spend time and learn from people who produce the fruits and possess the qualities that I am looking for. It’s so frustrating when I look at others and they keep complaining about why their life sucks and yet they spend so much time and take advice from people who produce lousy results. What’s really annoying is when those people who produce sucky results demand you to be part of their network!

It’s people like you who make my event sell out and I want to thank you for taking the time to share your success and ultimately changing people’s lives! Super powerful.

And I second your feelings regarding Dan Stojadinovic’s seminars. I was lucky enough to attend one last year and it was a true eye opener. I’d recommend them to any and everyone.
